Construction of steel-framed Salt Barn and vehicle servicing and storage facility for Wiltshire Council Highways Department.
This project consisted of the demolition of existing buildings on the substantial site in Furnax Lane whilst also protecting and providing for wildlife which inhabited the area. A new timber-clad salt storage barn was constructed together with Vehicle garaging and welfare facilities, a new weighbridge, and fuel storage facilities.
Internally, we provided office and meeting room spaces, changing and locker rooms, kitchen facilities, vehicle garaging and workshop.
Externally, we provided substantial vehicle parking and service areas; stormwater attenuation and rainwater harvesting; Saline linear channels, water catchment area and saline surface water storage tank. We also provided a bicycle shelter and electric car charging points.
