Scope of Works: Rigg Construction were appointed by Porter Property fund to convert and refurbish Phase II of a large existing office block that extended into the High Street in Marlborough into luxury flats.
Phase I had been completed two years previously and had residential leaseholders in place.
Access for materials and workmen had to be agreed and monitored on a daily basis with the main entrance and lift retained for the residents.
During the course of construction, the existing roof was found to be defective, a full scaffold was required to enable replacement without disruption to the existing residents.
Work was completed to a final agreed programme and a final account agreed within one month of completion.
The luxury flats were built and finished to the highest specification which enabled the developer to sell at a premium rate.
